The big earthquake
Crash something had fell off a shelf my bed started rocking back and forth I got very scared. The earthquake made the house tremble and it was a very loud noise my Mum looked up on her phone If we needed to evacuate we did not need to. I fell back asleep not long after.
My Mum drove me to School because she said If there was a tsunami she would pick me up. At school I was so worried. We were sitting on the mat the teachers handed out the cetifacis. After the house captains got anocced I saw Koka Rozie on the phone and I saw that she was worried. When she got of the phone she said everybody line up on the deck in a calm voice then loud alarms were turned on there was a tsunami warning.we walked up behind the school where the gates were to go up the hill. All the teachers did the roll to see if everybody was here all the teachers were on there phones checking if we needed to walk up the hill.
About ten minutes later we were told that we could go back down into our classrooms. Then koka Rozie seid that we would take the day easy.We were doing our art when i noticed a lot of kids leaving with there Mum or Dad.Then my Grandad came to take me to my mums work.My mun seid that could watch you tube there was a lot of loud beeps my sister arrived at my mums work she told me that the loud beeps were telling us what was happening. Not long after my sister told me that there was a tsunami in tokomaru bay. Then my mum said that is was a scary day so she wanted us all to be together.
Yay I said when my mum said we could go to the dairy when we came out me and my sister had a slushy each and two lolly pops.So I think that today was kinda fun but very very scary.

The first weeks of school
On the first week of school we walked down to Hamanatua stream for lunch. We walked down to Hamanatua because we are trying to go to every place on our pepeha and Hamanatua is our awa. It was so much fun because we got to play down at the beach by Hamanatua.
Maungaroa
"Are we there yet?", I said while we walked in the blazing hot sun. On Tuesday we walked up Maungaroa because it was our Maunga. We had to walk really far from Wainui beach school to Maungaroa and that is a really long way if you didn't know. We had made it to the hill and we were about to walk up the hill. We saw three farmers, it was so hot but we kept walking. When we were at the top it was an amazing view and Koka Rozie told us some stories.
We got welcomed into the marae by this woman called Aunty Bubba. When we were inside the Te poho-rawiri she said now you call me Aunty Bubba and we call her Dad Papa Albie and that now we go through the back door when we are welcome.
