kapa haka

 Hi today I will be talking about our school kapa haka performance we do this every year but this was going to be different from all the other years because covid restrictions. made us not able to preform in front of people so we got koka brodies husband is a videographer so he could record us.we are super lucky because if not we would not have any body to preform with so we could only preform in front of our school.

The part that the boys were most excited about was the haka because that means were warriors,the warriors used a haka to scare the opponent they were battling.The reason why we do kapa haka is because we are a green gold enviro school are one of the five rs is respect diverates and cultures and maori cultures since we are from Nz.

Green team play

 Today we went to ilminster school for a play the play was about littering and what it does to our environment it started with a old nanny koura and a kina telling there grandkids a story when she had finished the story one off the one of the grandkids went to bed while the other grandkid stayed and listened about how nanny koura save the world from aliens. 

The story started with teenage kids went to the skate park and littered in the skate park bowl they left it in a pig sti.Then aliens landed on planet earth.When the aliens landed the told nanny koura that they were going to to our world into a new dump they said that there world was already had to much  rubbish in there planet so they had to leave there rubbish here on our earth.they never reuse and the robot was used so the left him on planet earth when the teenage kids came they saw the robot and the gave him a hand shake but they found out that the robot was electric and was terrified off the word reuse for some reason.the robot told them what happened and they had to do something, then the kid with the twozy told them about nanny korua, the kids went off to try find nanny koura.they found nanny koura and told her what happened, she went to give it a try they told the robot to call the emails back from trash planet to earth.it the stared playing intro to kid show like cocmelon,dora the explore and it was super cringey but in the end thay landed.

when the aliens saw nanny koura they stared bowing to her the tenagers were so confushed about was was happening the nanny kora told the alineas to pick up there rubbish and to recycle.she also told the tennagers to pick up there rubish and they they lived happily ever after.

hamunatua walk

On tuesday we walked up hamunatua to try  were it starts because we are trying to explore as much of our pepeha as we can as a class. We had to walk all the way from wainui to the start of scarlys way so we can try walk all the way the stream runs of a farm and we got permission to walk up the farmland to find the end to get to the stream we had to jump the little stream the width was about 1 metre but it was a hard jump because there was lots of mud that made it slippery so we lined up and stared jumping one by one it was lolas turn to jump she was nervous to jump with her bag on so she gave it to her friend Rio Lola then jumped without her bag then rio swayed lolas bag back and fourth then rio threw it and sadly it had fell into the tiny stream.

After that Tre was last and he yeeted his bag across the stream but then Tre took the leap off faith we all thought Tre was going to make it but then he fell in we laughed but we all felt bad for Tre. We were walking for along time and we were all craving for food,we stopped for moring my shoe had a thorn in it and we could not stop while walking so I had to deal with it my foot was bleeding and I pulled it out.then I ate one cookie because it has a lot of sugar and i was very tired.

About 30 minutes after morning tea we saw a baby sheep but their was a big mama cow trying to scare us away from the baby sheep we kept walking away into the didance by the little stream. We had been walking for about 3 hour my legs were burning and the felt like they were going to fall off any step now.then we saw a huge pond this might off been were Hamunatua ended but we could not keep walking because it was nearly the end off the day and we would not get back to school back in time. On the back the sheep was still in the grass lying down with no sudden movements so Koka Rozie went to cheek if it was alive the sheep saw Koka Rozie and it ran away but we realized it was actually a small cow it ran through our line it even hit my thigh.

When we got back too school i was so muddy!

Cross country

 

       

3,2,1 Go! the moment I had had been waiting for the hole day had finally come the cross country race had came and I was in first but jago and me had a scary encounter so  I speed up away from him.The hole track had turd to dagerd sharp rocks so I stuck to the tight path of grass but then i stubbed my toe ahh I screamed as I slowed down into third but the race isn't over.

It was so tiring running in the sand but I was determined to not give up.After a while I dropped down to fifth. As I ran up to a dip I knew this was my time to get speed as I ran down the dip I felt the breeze in my face it felt so nice I also caught up to felix and jago who were battling for fourth jago looked behind and they both speed of into the distance. after one lap I was so close until I was finished so i started gasing it down the track I came fifth place and i'm happy with myself.So that is what happened on cross country for my year.

Strand L2

 Strand L2

Hi my name is Olly,  and today I will tell you about Strand L2. I enjoy Strand because It Is very fun and my teacher explains it in a good way. Right now we are learning about equal chances and what could possibly happen.Im very excited because we are going to posabilly do it with sweets.What would happen is we will put  20 sweets in a bag so everyone in Strand L2 can have one peice of but we will have to estimate what flavor we could pull out of the bag.

 Olympic Booklet

Hi my name is Olly, today I will tell you about my Olympic booklet.  A couple weeks ago our class got given one Olympic booklet each, it has lots of little tasks that you need to complete.

My favorite task were the drawing ones because i enjoy drawing things, I reckon that this was my best drawing out of my hole entire booklet.

Math Whizz Update

Hi, my name is Olly and today I am going to tell you about the new math whizz update. It was released a couple weeks ago, and I was really excited because we have to do math whizz every week to get our priorities done, and to be honest, I was getting a little bored. Now, they added lots of things, like new wallpapers, furniture plus flooring and clothing! I'm really looking forward to working on math whizz next week and getting all the new goodies, like the picture below.
