Craft fair

Do you like art?Do you like games?If you do the craft fair is the place for you.If you have not been to a craft fair you should come to ours next year.

Me and bramm were so exited for the craft fair because there's so much to do their.We waled over to  drinks van were you get all the drinks there we got one coke each and it was so cold and good.We walked over to the big bouncy castle it was so crazy in there.We found Prince inthe big bouncy castle so we walked over to our class stand we made munuitarahi i did not see mine so i think my mum bought it

WE were kind of bored so we went to get some yummy food.We changed our mind so we went to watch cow pat bingo its funny to watch a fat cow pooping in squares but whatever squire it poos in wins 300 dollars yea you heard me 300.We saw a princess bouncy castle so we had to go on it but right next to us was a minion so we went on that first.It was so fun because there were stairs and then we jumped of onto the bottom of the bouncy castle.We did that for a while when this angry lady walked up to us when she ''come on you guys hurry up''She was like my grand pa.

We were a bit scared so we walked over to the best bouncy castle the princess casele.I wa scomfdent because we new this man so we walked over happaley it was so fun until we had to go I was having a blast but all good things must end. 

Pihita station

Hi im Olly and I am going to tell about my Pihita station experience.This farm is not far from makorori headland.

This farm is currently owned by a man named Toby.At the farm I Learnt a lot from the famers there.Some examples are since there is moistness in wool if you rub it on leather or rubber shoes it will shine them for you.thats one ofmy fact that I learnt and the wool shed rowtashion.at the butchers rowtashion there is this new machine that can cut through bones you just need to pick up the meat source and hold on the green  button for about five seconds then it will turn on then lightly push while its doing the work for you.

Athletics day

I wonder who’s in my heat I wonder who will win? Athletics day is the best day ever.On Tuesday it was athletics day yay.

Sprints

Bang! A loud clap echoed around the hills. I sprinted as fast as I could. I was coming forth when I stepped in a big spiky prickle. Ouch! I dropped down to fifth place. I passed the finish line. I was proud but still light tempered that I kept my place.

Long jump

Now it was time for one of my favorites. It was the long  jump. My turn was next. I was so nervous because there were a lot of people watching us.  3 2 1 Go! I sprinted harder than ever. I leapt across the mat. I  landed.  My score was  2.42m.  Fifth  place again.

High jump

We walked over to high jump. I was shattered. All I wanted to do was go home. Time passed and I was on my last cone. It was my turn. I ran around the little cones then I boosted off my leg and skimmed the bar. I was out! I fell onto the mat. 

Here's some jokes.Why cant chinese people baseball because they ate the bat.Did you hear about the race between the two balls of string,they tied haha thats funny

After school I was so tired I became a couch potato but overall  I loved athletics day and you should too.

BEE BOTS

Don't Blame the Bees 

 On Monday with koka Jo, we created instructions for a bee bot to follow. It sounded easy but it was harder then it looked. I started to get frustrated with this activity but I keep my resilience with me and carried on. Over time I started to understand the bee bots movement.
My buddy was still working on it so I helped him for a bit. Oh and lots of us said the bee bots were going the wrong way but like the title, don't blame bees!!!!.
Over all I have liked my bee bot experience and I would love to use them in the future.

Light the night

Light the night

Last week we did a drawing of Tuahine lighthouse on our chromebook.We had to write one metaphor about our learning.  My metaphor was light the night.  I really like my metaphor and my art I did on my chromebook.  I was really happy with my drawing because it looks really cool and that was my first time using google drawing.  My light house metaphor means that the night is our learning and we are the light so we have to light the night.Thank you for reading my letter.

Bee bot

                                 BEE BOT

A bee bot is a machine that is programmed to move.  If you would like it to go left you would tap the left button on the top of it then it would move left, it also has a pause, play and redo button.

My first attempt was a positive no.  It was so close until the end, boom!  Straight off the grid! This was harder than I thought.  Second attempt I was way more confident that it would go around the track and finally it got to the last square. Boom it had done it!  I was so happy "Yay!" I said in happiness.  

                      

School trip

Hi my name is Olly and our class and room one went to the Enviro Centre.  We went there because a couple weeks earlier we went down to the Hamanatua Stream and we pulled most of the fennel out so we got a prize and that was going to the enviro senter we went there on a big  bus.  When we got there there was a big garden with a bee hive.  We walked in side and there were bean bags on the floor I thought that they would be comfy but when I sat on them I felt a bit weird and I knew what was in there and on the wall there was bottles stuffed in the bean bags.

On the way in there were neklisis on a table we had to pick one each those made up our group.  We were chosen to go into an old food room it's where old dairy food or supermarket food gets thrown out but the enviro center takes it to that room and then give it to people in need.

Then there was a compost bin and I learnt that you need a green layer and a brown layer  for a good compost. Brown layers are news paper, cardboard and the green layers are grass clippings or hay.  

There was a worm farm that had three layers one was where all the worms and all the scraps were. Then the next layer down that's were all the worm pee dripped down into a 

bucket

 

My conclusion is that the enviro senter was very cool and I highly recommend it.
